Friday, the 12th of October

Most of the students did their shopping at Lõunakeskus

     Friday morning was meant for shopping. But on midday after the lessons of the Estonians were over every family had their own activities and a day off because it was the last day in Tartu for our friends. For example some families went to see the nature and swamps of Estonia but some went to local restaurants. Most of the students stayed at home with their correspondent families. 

Ingrid's story
      Friday was the day our French friends had the morning off so they could venture through the stores in Tartu. In the afternoon, Selena and I went to the water park with Charline, Amélie and Clara. We had a lot of fun, but we did get a few funny looks from our friends because as typical Estonians we went from one sauna to the next and relaxed. The French however looked like they were happy to have survived a 100 degree sauna. In the evening Andrea and Chloé met us at the cinema and we watched "Une estonienne à Paris". Overall the last day our French friends were in Tartu was very enjoyable yet a little bit sad for me because Saturday we had to say goodbye and start waiting for the next time we meet.

Linda's story II
     The best thing about the French was their willingness to meet new people. They were really outgoing! Friday night was the best for them as there were so many people on the streets and they could go around saying tere-tere to everyone and practise their Estonian. Talking to complete strangers was no problem at all.
